Steak; and Honey Roasted Peanuts (for snack).

How long have you been with First Midwest; and what do you enjoy most about your current position with the Bank?

A

I have been with First Midwest Bank for 10 years. I enjoy working with people and serving the community.

When did you decide to pursue a career in business, and more specifically in banking?  What were the circumstances and considerations that led to your decision?

A

I started my banking career in 2003. Working with people and assisting them in achieving financial success is what my passion has been.

As you reflect upon your career in banking, what three achievements are you most proud of?
A
1. Becoming a Branch Manager of a 50-million-dollar Banking Center.

Leading my staff to Personal Success by promoting within.

3. Leading my Banking Center to become a top producing office.

What has been the most important lesson you have learned from your career in banking?

A

I have learned to be inspirational, embrace changes and never stop learning.

When it comes to your career, is there anything you would do differently?

A

I would strengthen my soft skills.

What would you tell a young person, if he or she were interested in having a career in the financial-services sector?

A

A career in banking is a very wise choice in today’s job market. Banking firms are highly regulated and supervised, making them a safe, pleasant and rewarding place to work. Banking careers offer integrity and stability, with many opportunities to broaden your knowledge and skills.

In the broadest possible terms, what constitutes success for you?
A

Success is having a goal, planning the steps to achieve your goal, implementing your goals and reaching that goal.

What are the top three things you would like to accomplish career-wise or personally, in the next five years?
A
1. Expand my knowledge in Commercial and Business Lending
2.

Become a Commercial or Business Banker

3. Develop my staff for their personal success; and assist them in building a career.

Since you began serving on the MCC Board, what do you find most rewarding, challenging and inspiring about the Chamber?
A

Serving on the MCC board is a very rewarding experience.  I enjoy meeting and interacting with new people and business owners. So, belonging to the MCC means dedication and success by bringing the business community together with the community at large.  I have not served on any other boards in the past, and I am grateful that the MCC board provided me with the opportunity, and with their trust, to become a board member.

If you were able to change one thing - either in or about Maywood, what would that be?
A

I would like for the Community to work together for the same purpose, and that is for the benefit of The Village of Maywood.

If there is one thing you wish more people knew about you, what would that be?
A
